The existing building had insufficient lighting coverage in the parking area, posing potential building code violations and raising concerns for user safety and site security. SAI designed efficient and cost-effective exterior site lighting in compliance with NEC and local code requirements.
The design includes high-efficiency LED fixtures that are downward-focused and mounted at optimal heights to deliver proper illumination across the parking area while minimizing energy consumption. Light levels are carefully balanced to meet minimum and maximum foot-candle thresholds, ensuring safety, visibility, and code compliance.
Fixtures were selected to reduce light spill and glare, supporting Dark Sky compliance and minimizing impact on surrounding properties and the night sky. A detailed photometric analysis was conducted to ensure even light distribution and adherence to all relevant lighting standards.
